Knox Duncan
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Knox Duncan is not easily intimidated. Case in point: His first ad gig as a media planner put him eyeball-deep in the worlds of Texas Instruments artificial intelligence and Bell Apache attack helicopters.

After four years of microscopic robots and rocket-firing choppers, Knox moved west to FCB in San Francisco, working on the slightly less chilling Levi's business, as well as Armor All, Epson and Janus Funds.

Wieden+Kennedy, always looking for folks with both military aircraft and denim experience, brought Knox to Portland in '94 to head up their Microsoft business. While there, Knox also helped launch W+K's in-house media buying agency, built their internal media research and training programs, and bridged the media and message landscapes by working with account planning to create communications strategies that elevated the work. Somehow, Knox found time during his seven-year run at W+K to work on Nike, Coke, Miller and Amazon.com.

Knox's most recent non-WONGDOODY years were spent at Barkley Evergreen & Partners in Kansas City as SVP/director of planning, heading up both the media and account planning departments. Clients included SONIC drive-ins, Cellular One and CITGO Petroleum.

Further illustrating his love of challenges, Knox is married with two young daughters.
